Today I watched the news on Juan's television, and I am very happy with one of the stories. I find out that Bolivia will holding the festival for the "Latin American Cinema" this year. They say that there will be 18 films from all over South America, and also Mexico too. This is exciting! This is more films than I have watched my whole life. They will be films about drugs and corruption of Bolivia and Brazil and Peru and others. I am glad that somebody is talking about these problems, because it makes me sad to see many friends in trouble because of drugs. I wonder what language they will be in, because I study Portugese now, so maybe I understand some of them if they are not in Spanish also.
I will go play soccer now, and then maybe go to party with Juan and his wife. |

I never hear of LiveJournal before, so this is very new for me. But I find very refreshing to be able to share thoughts with other people who think like me. I go to school in Bolivia. I love this country! I made my first American friends last month, when they come to visit my school on the mission. I did not know what mission was when they came. But they were all so nice! They did not speak English like we learn in school, beacuase they're accents are very strong and they speak slower than our professor teach us. But they talked to us about God, and life, and love, and and nature. They help me see light of Jesus. Paul is also very good at soccer. He helped me form the Christian Soccer Organization for the Hearing Impaired. My brother is deaf, but he loves to play soccer (as do I), so Paul inspired me to start this for him. Gracias mi amigo! Anna is very cool too, she brought me and my mother cookies. |
